Dear Parents, Carers, and Students,

Welcome to Issue 28 of The Warbler, our final newsletter of the academic year. With us already a week into the summer holidays, I hope you are all relaxing, enjoying the lovely sunshine, and taking a well-deserved break after what has been a remarkably busy and rewarding final half term.

Looking back across these past few weeks, our school community has been buzzing with activity, energy, and shared success. From classroom achievements to outdoor adventures, this edition of The Warbler captures the very best of life at The Wilnecote School and celebrates the fantastic spirit of our students.

Our Year 9 students certainly embraced adventure as over 155 of them swapped the classroom for the capital on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far, exploring history, politics, and a few hauntings along the way. Outdoor challenges continued for our Year 8s, who conquered high heights and built lasting memories during an action-packed residential trip to PGL. Back on the school grounds, the energy was just as high under clear summer skies as the entire school family came together for an exhilarating Sports Day filled with exceptional athletic effort and inspiring teamwork. We also took time to celebrate the incredible staff who guide our young people every day on National Thank a Teacher Day, made all the more special thanks to support from Tesco.
