Students had the chance to explore their career options at the school’s 2nd annual Careers Fair, held on the 13th of March 2024.

The event was open to the entire school community, with students from all year groups attending. Over 50 companies and education providers participated, offering a diverse range of opportunities. Representatives from Staffordshire Fire & Rescue, the Police, the NHS, HS2, Network Rail, Amey, and local universities like Derby, Worcester, Staffordshire, and De Montfort were present. Smaller local companies, football clubs, and even former students showcased their career paths.

The Armed Forces also joined the fair, with training providers explaining different routes for students at 16 and 18 years old, including apprenticeships.

Beyond providing information about potential careers, work experience placements, and volunteer opportunities for students, the event served as a valuable learning experience to gain a deeper understanding of the diverse options available to their students as they enter the workforce.

The Careers Fair 2024 proved to be a successful event, fostering connections between students, educators, and potential employers within the local community.
