Year 11 Celebrate GCSE Success
Students and staff are celebrating the school’s best-ever GCSE results, setting a historic academic benchmark across key national performance indicators. The exceptional outcomes highlight the remarkable resilience, ambition, and hard work shown by Year 11, unlocking exciting opportunities as they take their next steps into sixth forms, colleges, and apprenticeships.

You may have noticed an extra buzz in the corridors and plenty of proud smiles across the school this summer. Our Year 11 students have collected their examination results, and the figures confirm that this has been a genuinely historic year for our school.
Across every measure, these outcomes represent the highest overall performance the school has ever achieved. When measured against the key national indicators used to compare schools across the country, our students have shown they can match the very best.

Headteacher Mr Foskett expressed his pride in the group’s achievements: “This year we are incredibly proud to celebrate our remarkable Year 11 students whose results have once again shown that they can stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone from any school. These remarkable young people have demonstrated that their resilience, persistence and commitment to their studies leads to examination success.”

The atmosphere in the hall was filled with celebration as envelopes were opened, with many young people securing top grades in core subjects as well as creative and practical qualifications. Teachers and support staff were on hand throughout the morning to share in the joy and offer guidance on post-16 pathways.
Mr Foskett added: “I am equally delighted that these Year 11 outcomes, when measured against the national performance indicators used to compare schools, make this a truly historic year for our school. They represent the best overall results the school has ever achieved and are a powerful reflection of the dedication, resilience and ambition of our students and staff. These results not only reflect remarkable progress but also unlock exciting opportunities as our young people embark on the next stage of their education.”

With their qualifications secured, our leavers are preparing for their next adventures, ranging from A-level study to vocational diplomas and training. We look forward to following their continued journeys and wish each of them every success.
