The Wilnecote School recently celebrated the achievements of its exceptional students at its annual Awards Evening.
The evening was filled with accolades and recognition. Jake Bradbury was named the Richard Thornton Sportsman of the Year, while Sofia Nelson was honored with the Lydia Bennett Memorial Sportswoman of the Year award. Both athletes were praised for their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship.
In the realm of Performing Arts, Adelina Collins and Jaime Kelly captivated the audience with their rendition of “Believe.” The prestigious Lyndie Palmer Award for Performing Arts was bestowed upon John Cooper-percival for his outstanding contributions to the school’s theater program.
Academic excellence was also celebrated. Evi Ashby and Lauren Howells received the Achievement Award for their exceptional GCSE results, while Harry Nethercot, Elliott Starkey, and Will Reeves were honored with the Endeavour Award for their perseverance and resilience.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Pride of Wilnecote Award to Jake Bradbury. This prestigious award recognises a student who has made a significant positive impact on the school community.
