Welcome

Dear Parents, Carers, and Members of the wider community,

I’m delighted to present this special edition of The Wilnecote Warbler, which truly captures the vibrant life and incredible achievements here at The Wilnecote School over the past half-term.

Inside, you’ll find a snapshot of all the wonderful things that have been happening, from our fantastic Year 11 Prom at Statfold Country Park and their memorable Leavers’ Day ceremony, to the competitive spirit shown at Sports Day 2025 and our impressive win at the District Athletics event. We’ve seen our Year 9 students embark on their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition and explore creative pathways during their visit to Lichfield College. It’s also been inspiring to see our new cohort of 30 Autism Advocates making a difference and our students even participating in a Guinness World Record for the largest cookery lesson with Jamie Oliver! The Year 7 and 8 RISE Workshop and the Languages Careers Seminar for Year 9 and 10 have also provided invaluable experiences for future aspirations.

As this half-term draws to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt wish to all our parents and carers for a wonderful and restful summer break. We can’t wait to see all our students return, refreshed and ready for a new academic year in September.

And of course, we are eagerly looking forward to GCSE Results Day on Wednesday, 21st August, for our Year 11 students. We are incredibly proud of all their hard work and dedication.

Warm regards,

Mr. Foskett Headteacher
