On the 4th and 5th March, Year 11 had the fantastic opportunity to do their GCSE fieldwork studies in preparation for their upcoming Geography exams.
Miss Molineux, Mr Meer, Mrs Day, and Mr Savage took 78 students to Cannock Chase where they studied how the area was being used by the public and evaluated if humans were having a negative effect on the natural environment by measuring erosion rates on bike paths.
We then headed to Stafford Town Centre to look at how the new Waterfront Shopping development was having a negative effect on the town. We conducted a bi-polar analysis of the old town and the Waterfront areas to evaluate the surroundings. Even though it was a bit chilly, we were able to collect meaningful data, prepare for exams and also have fun!
