✈️ Wilnecote School Students Soar with British Airways Careers Challenge
Year 8 students at The Wilnecote School demonstrated exceptional creativity, teamwork, and business acumen on Thursday (December 4th) as they participated in an engaging careers challenge supported by British Airways.
 
The ambitious task saw students, working in groups of five or six, tasked with developing a brand-new subsidiary airline for the flag carrier, complete with a unique, themed flight experience.
Teams spent the day meticulously crafting every element of their new venture. This required genuine business planning, with students taking on roles to decide upon a company name and logo, choose an appealing destination, and determine viable pricing strategies.
 
Throughout the challenge, teachers noted outstanding demonstrations of key transferable skills. Students excelled in:
The climax of the day saw the groups present their fully-formed concepts to the entire Year 8 cohort. The presentations were judged on their feasibility, originality, and the students’ ability to articulate their business case clearly.
