Wilnecote Girls Storm into County Cup Next Round with Dominant Win

The Wilnecote School Girls’ football team delivered a stunning performance to secure a resounding 6-0 victory over John Taylor Free School in the latest round of the County Cup.

The Wilnecote side demonstrated exceptional teamwork and attacking prowess from the first whistle, overwhelming their opponents and netting a fantastic half-dozen goals. The scoring was spread across the squad, highlighting the depth of talent on the pitch.

Top scorers on the day were Oliwia and Ebony-Mae, who both bagged two superb goals apiece, demonstrating clinical finishing and relentless pressure in the final third. Midfield maestro Grace added a well-taken goal to the tally, and Isla rounded off the scoring with a brilliant individual effort.

While the attackers stole the headlines, the entire team played their part in the dominant win, displaying control across the pitch. Special mention must go to goalkeeper Maisie, who maintained a vital clean sheet. Despite the heavy Wilnecote attack, Maisie stayed focused and alert, making a couple of crucial saves to shut down John Taylor’s counter-attacks and ensure the scoreline remained six clear goals.
