The highlight of the day for many was the afternoon performance of Hamilton. The story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton, told through a dynamic blend of hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, captivated the young audience. It was such an amazing experience for everyone and at parts even left some students and teachers shedding a tear.

Mrs Johnson, the school’s Drama Teacher, who accompanied the trip, commented, “It was wonderful to see the students so engaged with both the history and the incredible artistry of the show. Hamilton is such a powerful and innovative piece of theatre, and providing our students with the opportunity to experience it live is invaluable for their understanding and appreciation of drama.”

Freya S, a Year 7 student, said, “I’ve listened to the soundtrack so many times, but seeing it on stage was completely different! The energy was amazing, and the performances were incredible.”Oskar S, from Year 8, added, “I didn’t know much about Alexander Hamilton before, but the show made his story so interesting. It was a brilliant day out, and the show was even better than I expected.”

The trip provided a fantastic educational and cultural experience for the students, leaving them inspired by both London’s landmarks and the power of live theatre.
